Responsibilities
- Deploy, configure, and maintain Linux/Windows servers, virtualization environments (VMware), and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
- Implement and monitor security protocols including firewalls, intrusion detection, and access controls
- Automate system administration tasks using Python/Ansible and manage containerized environments (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Provide Tier-3 technical support and lead incident response for production systems
- Optimize system performance, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure 99.9% uptime SLA
- Document infrastructure architecture, create runbooks, and maintain compliance frameworks (SOC2/ISO)
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in enterprise system administration with Linux/Windows Server
- Expertise in virtualization (VMware ESXi), cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), and networking fundamentals
- Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell) and infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform)
- Proven experience with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana) and CI/CD pipelines
- Relevant certifications (CompTIA Linux+, AWS SysOps, MCSE) preferred
- Ability to work in rotating on-call schedules and respond to critical incidents
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to document complex technical processes
