Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain Windows/Linux servers, virtualization environments (VMware/Hyper-V), and cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure)
- Implement and monitor security protocols, including firewalls, encryption, and access controls
- Handle system backups, disaster recovery planning, and compliance audits
- Troubleshoot hardware/software issues and optimize system performance
- Collaborate with DevOps teams on CI/CD pipelines and automation tools
- Document IT processes and provide technical support to end-users
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in system administration with Windows/Linux environments
- Expertise in virtualization (VMware ESXi/Hyper-V) and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
- Strong knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and security frameworks
- Certifications: CompTIA Server+, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, or equivalent
- Proficiency in scripting (PowerShell, Bash) and automation tools (Ansible)
- Experience with monitoring tools (Nagios, Zabbix) and ITIL best practices
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
