Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain Windows/Linux server environments, including Active Directory, VMware, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
- Implement and monitor security protocols, patch management, and backup solutions
- Diagnose and resolve complex system issues with minimal downtime
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy new technologies and applications
- Document IT infrastructure, processes, and standard operating procedures
- Lead system upgrades, migrations, and capacity planning initiatives
- Provide Tier-3 technical support and mentor junior IT staff
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in system administration with Windows/Linux environments
- Expertise in virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V) and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, security best practices, and compliance standards
- Proficiency in automation tools (Ansible, PowerShell, Bash scripting)
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with proven ability to resolve complex technical issues
- Certifications (CompTIA Server+, MCSA, or equivalent) preferred
