Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable server infrastructure across cloud and on-premises environments
- Proactively monitor system health, troubleshoot complex issues, and implement performance optimizations
- Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and network services with 99.9% uptime SLA
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to implement CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code solutions
- Develop comprehensive disaster recovery plans and conduct regular backup validation
- Lead security initiatives including vulnerability assessments, patch management, and compliance audits
- Document system architectures, procedures, and runbooks using modern documentation tools
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Windows Server and Linux administration
- Expertise in virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Strong scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash, Python) for automation
- Industry certifications (CompTIA Server+, Linux+, AWS Certified SysOps)
- Proven experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and hybrid architectures
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities with excellent written/verbal communication
