Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain complex Windows/Linux server environments across hybrid cloud infrastructure
- Proactively monitor system health using tools like Nagios and SolarWinds, resolving incidents within SLA
- Automate deployment processes with Ansible/Terraform for 99.9% uptime
- Lead cybersecurity initiatives including vulnerability assessments and compliance audits
- Optimize network performance and troubleshoot complex connectivity issues
- Document infrastructure changes and create disaster recovery plans
- Mentor junior sysadmins and implement best practices across the team
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years administering Windows Server 2019/2022 and Linux (RHEL/CentOS)
- Expertise in virtualization (VMware ESXi/Hyper-V) and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
- Certifications: CompTIA Server+, MCSA, or Linux+ required
- Strong scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash, Python)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and communication skills
- Ability to work flexible hours for maintenance windows
