Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable microservices using Java/Python in AWS environment
- Lead CI/CD pipeline optimization for 24/7 production systems
- Collaborate with global teams during handover periods (7-9 PM)
- Own system reliability metrics and incident response protocols
- Drive code quality through peer reviews and automated testing
- Document technical architecture for cross-shift knowledge transfer
- Mentor junior engineers during overnight on-call rotations
Qualifications
- 5+ years experience in distributed systems development
- Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS/GCP) and containerization (Docker/K8s)
- Strong background in Java, Python, or Go
- CI/CD mastery with Jenkins/GitLab CI
- BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Proven ability to work independently during night shifts
- Experience with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana)
- Excellent written communication for cross-shift documentation
