Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable backend services using Java/Python and AWS/GCP infrastructure
- Debug and resolve production issues during night shift operations with SLA-driven response times
- Collaborate with global teams via asynchronous communication tools and daily stand-ups
- Develop CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes for continuous deployment
- Perform code reviews and security audits to maintain enterprise-grade standards
- Document technical specifications and create API documentation for internal stakeholders
- Mentor junior engineers through pair programming and knowledge sharing sessions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
- 3+ years of experience in backend development with Java or Python
- Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP) and containerization technologies
- Strong understanding of RESTful API design and microservices architecture
- Experience with night shift or rotational schedule work preferred
- Knowledge of security best practices and compliance frameworks (SOC2, PCI-DSS)
- Excellent problem-solving skills with experience in production debugging
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision during off-peak hours
