The Role
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver features that impact millions of users. This is a hybrid role based out of our Chicago office.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy scalable microservices and web applications using modern frameworks.
- Collaborate with product managers and designers to translate complex requirements into technical solutions.
- Mentor junior developers and conduct code reviews to ensure best practices and code quality.
- Optimize application performance, scalability, and security across the full stack.
- Participate in the entire software development lifecycle, from planning and design to testing and deployment.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation within the team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with a strong focus on full-stack development.
- Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, React, and Node.js or similar modern frameworks.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Strong understanding of relational and non-relational databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (Git).
