Responsibilities
- Design, test, and optimize advanced prompts for large language models (LLMs) including GPT-4, Claude, and proprietary systems
- Develop prompt engineering frameworks to enhance AI model performance, creativity, and contextual understanding
- Collaborate with product teams to integrate prompt solutions into customer-facing applications
- Conduct A/B testing on prompt variations and document performance metrics for continuous improvement
- Create comprehensive documentation for prompt libraries, best practices, and ethical guidelines
- Mentor junior engineers on prompt optimization techniques and AI safety protocols
- Stay current with emerging AI research and implement industry-leading prompt engineering strategies
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in prompt engineering, NLP, or related AI development roles
- Proven expertise in designing prompts for production-level LLM applications
- Strong understanding of transformer architectures and fine-tuning methodologies
- Portfolio demonstrating successful prompt optimization projects with measurable impact
- Excellent analytical skills with ability to troubleshoot complex AI model behaviors
