Responsibilities
- Design, test, and optimize prompts for large language models (LLMs) including GPT-4, Claude, and proprietary systems
- Develop prompt frameworks for AI-powered applications in customer service, content generation, and data analysis
- Conduct A/B testing and performance analysis to refine prompt effectiveness
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate prompt engineering solutions into production systems
- Create documentation and best practices for prompt development lifecycle
- Research emerging AI techniques to maintain competitive edge in prompt engineering
- Mentor junior engineers on prompt optimization strategies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Linguistics, Cognitive Science, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years of experience in prompt engineering or NLP model development
- Proficiency with Python and AI frameworks (Hugging Face, LangChain, OpenAI API)
- Deep understanding of LLM capabilities, limitations, and ethical implications
- Portfolio demonstrating successful prompt engineering projects
- Experience with fine-tuning models for domain-specific applications
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret complex AI outputs
- Certification in AI/ML or prompt engineering (e.g., Coursera, AWS ML)
