Responsibilities
- Design and iterate advanced prompts for large language models (GPT-4, Claude, etc.)
- Develop prompt engineering frameworks for enterprise AI applications
- Conduct A/B testing to optimize prompt performance and accuracy
- Collaborate with data scientists to align prompts with ML model capabilities
- Create documentation and training materials for prompt best practices
- Stay current with emerging AI tools and techniques through research
- Mentor junior engineers on prompt optimization strategies
Qualifications
- 3+ years in prompt engineering or NLP-focused AI roles
- Expertise with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Hugging Face)
- Strong Python programming skills for prompt automation
- Portfolio demonstrating 5+ successful prompt implementations
- Experience with prompt evaluation metrics (ROUGE, BLEU, perplexity)
- Understanding of fine-tuning vs. prompt-based approaches
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical prompt strategies
- Excellent written communication skills for complex technical concepts
