Responsibilities
- Design, prototype, and iterate advanced prompts for LLMs and conversational AI systems
- Conduct A/B testing and performance analysis of prompt variations using quantitative metrics
- Develop prompt engineering frameworks for diverse applications: customer support, content generation, and data analysis
- Collaborate with ML engineers to align prompt strategies with model capabilities and business objectives
- Create documentation and best practices for prompt lifecycle management
- Monitor emerging AI trends and integrate cutting-edge techniques into prompt development
- Optimize prompts for efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and ethical AI alignment
Qualifications
- 3+ years in prompt engineering, NLP, or related AI field with portfolio of prompt projects
- Expertise in LLM platforms (GPT-4, Claude, PaLM) and prompt optimization techniques
- Strong programming skills in Python with experience in AI frameworks (LangChain, Hugging Face)
- Proven ability to translate complex requirements into precise, effective prompts
- Deep understanding of AI ethics, bias mitigation, and responsible AI development
- Exceptional written communication and problem-solving abilities
- Experience with remote collaboration tools and asynchronous workflows
- Preference for candidates with Hawaii residency or willingness to relocate
