Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain LAN/WAN infrastructure across metropolitan locations
- Proactively monitor network performance using SolarWinds and PRTG tools
- Lead incident response for outages and security breaches with SLA-driven resolution
- Document network topology, configurations, and disaster recovery procedures
- Collaborate with cloud teams on hybrid architecture integration
- Conduct quarterly vulnerability assessments and remediation
- Mentor junior technicians on best practices and troubleshooting methodologies
Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Cisco/Juniper enterprise routing and switching
- CCNP/JNCIP certification or equivalent demonstrable expertise
- Proficiency in network automation (Python/Ansible) and scripting
- Deep knowledge of BGP, OSPF, and VLAN configuration
- Experience with Palo Alto firewalls and Cisco ISE implementation
- Strong analytical skills with network packet analysis (Wireshark)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Valid NYS driver's license for occasional site visits
