Responsibilities
- Monitor security events and alerts using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to identify potential threats in real-time.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in the network architecture.
- Respond to security incidents, conduct digital forensics, and implement immediate remediation strategies.
- Enforce corporate security policies and ensure compliance with industry standards (NIST, HIPAA, GDPR).
- Collaborate with IT engineering teams to patch systems and secure network infrastructure.
- Generate detailed security reports and provide ongoing training to staff on security best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
- Certification preferred: CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC.
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC operations, or network defense.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPN technologies.
- Proficiency with incident response tools and forensic methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure.
