Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for anomalous activity
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on networks
- Develop incident response plans and coordinate breach mitigation
- Analyze malware and advanced persistent threats (APTs)
- Implement security controls across cloud/on-premises infrastructure
- Ensure compliance with NIST, FISMA, and industry standards
- Document security policies and procedures
- Collaborate with IT teams on security architecture improvements
Qualifications
- 3+ years in cybersecurity or information security roles
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required
- Experience with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and IDS/IPS systems
- Knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, and endpoint protection
- Familiarity with threat intelligence platforms and threat hunting
- Ability to work independently during flexible hours
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Active DoD Secret clearance preferred
