Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and optimize Cisco/Juniper network infrastructure including SD-WAN, VPNs, and cloud connectivity
- Proactively monitor network performance using SolarWinds/NPM and resolve outages within SLA
- Lead network security initiatives including firewall management, IDS/IPS deployment, and vulnerability assessments
- Document network architecture using Visio/Lucidchart and maintain configuration management
- Collaborate with cloud teams on hybrid network integrations and AWS/Azure deployments
- Mentor junior technicians and provide advanced troubleshooting for complex Layer 2/3 issues
Qualifications
- 5+ years enterprise network administration with Cisco CCNP/JNCIP certification
- Expertise in BGP, OSPF, MPLS, and advanced routing protocols
- Hands-on experience with Palo Alto/Fortinet firewalls and Cisco ASA/FTD
- Strong Python/Ansible automation skills for network provisioning
- CCIE/JNCIE certification or equivalent demonstrable expertise
- Experience in healthcare or financial services network compliance (HIPAA/GLBA)
- Valid Hawaii driver's license and ability to travel between islands
