Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts and events using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar, or similar).
- Lead incident response and forensic investigations for security breaches and intrusions.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing of internal and external networks.
- Implement and maintain security policies, procedures, and compliance frameworks (GDPR, HIPAA, NIST).
- Collaborate with DevOps and IT teams to secure cloud environments (AWS/Azure) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Provide security awareness training and mentorship to junior security analysts.
- Stay abreast of the latest threat intelligence and security trends.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in Cybersecurity or Information Security.
- CISSP, CISM, Security+, or GCIH certification is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of network security protocols, encryption standards, and firewalls.
- Experience with cloud security architecture and container security (Docker/Kubernetes).
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python or Bash) for automation and threat hunting.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Must be willing to relocate to the San Francisco Bay Area.
