Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the Security Operations Center (SOC) and manage incident response workflows.
- Design, implement, and maintain a robust defense-in-depth security architecture.
- Conduct thorough vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, and security audits.
- Monitor network traffic and security systems using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, ELK Stack) to detect and mitigate threats in real-time.
- Develop and execute security policies and procedures to ensure compliance with HIPAA, NIST, and ISO standards.
- Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to integrate security controls into software development lifecycles (DevSecOps).
- Lead threat hunting initiatives and analyze forensic data to uncover hidden risks.
Qualifications
- Active certification such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or CISM (required).
- Minimum of 5-7 years of professional experience in cybersecurity or network engineering.
- Strong hands-on experience with cloud security platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- In-depth knowledge of firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and endpoint protection solutions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for cross-departmental collaboration.
