Responsibilities
- Monitor Security Operations: Continuously monitor SIEM dashboards and security alerts during weekend shifts to identify and mitigate potential threats in real-time.
- Incident Response: Lead the investigation and remediation of security incidents, ensuring minimal downtime and rapid recovery.
- Vulnerability Management: Conduct thorough vulnerability assessments and penetration testing of internal systems and external interfaces.
- Policy Enforcement: Enforce strict cybersecurity policies and compliance standards (NIST, ISO 27001) across the organization.
- Threat Hunting: Proactively hunt for advanced persistent threats (APTs) and malicious actors within the network environment.
- Reporting: Generate detailed incident reports and security metrics for stakeholders and management review.
- Tool Maintenance: Assist in the administration and tuning of security tools, including Firewalls, EDR, and DLP solutions.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Certifications: CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH certification is highly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC) or cybersecurity analyst role.
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Python, PowerShell, or Bash scripting for automation and incident response.
- Tools: Extensive knowledge of SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, LogRhythm), Firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto, Fortinet), and Endpoint Protection.
- Work Schedule: Must be willing and able to work rotating weekend shifts (e.g., Friday-Sunday or Saturday-Monday).
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting and team collaboration.
