Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security events and alerts in real-time using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar, or ArcSight).
- Investigate, triage, and respond to security incidents, including malware analysis and phishing attempts.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and coordinate patch management with engineering teams.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks such as NIST, HIPAA, and ISO 27001.
- Develop and maintain security documentation, playbooks, and runbooks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to harden network architecture and endpoint security.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field.
- Active certification such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a SOC, IR, or threat hunting role.
- Strong working knowledge of TCP/IP, VPNs, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPNs.
- Experience with automation scripting (Python or PowerShell) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently during off-hours.
