Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and incidents occurring during the weekend shift.
- Conduct 24/7 surveillance of network traffic using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to identify anomalies.
- Perform vulnerability assessments and patch management for critical systems outside of business hours.
- Document security incidents, root causes, and remediation actions in the SIEM and ticketing systems.
- Collaborate with the 24/7 SOC team to escalate high-priority threats and coordinate with forensics teams.
- Ensure compliance with internal security policies and industry regulations (NIST, ISO 27001, HIPAA).
Qualifications
- Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in Cybersecurity, SOC, or Network Security.
- Certifications such as CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GCIH are highly preferred.
- Strong experience with SIEM technologies, endpoint detection tools, and firewalls.
- Proven ability to work rotating shifts, specifically weekends, in a high-stress environment.
- Deep understanding of malware analysis, phishing campaigns, and social engineering tactics.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting to stakeholders.
