Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and incidents in real-time to minimize downtime and data loss.
- Conduct thorough vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in our infrastructure.
- Design and implement robust security architectures, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection.
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and compliance documentation (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST).
- Lead incident response drills and coordinate with cross-functional teams during security breaches.
- Perform regular security audits and provide recommendations for remediation.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or a related field.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or Security+ are strongly preferred.
- Deep understanding of network protocols, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and cloud security (AWS/Azure).
- Experience with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) and scripting languages (Python/Bash).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of US federal and state regulatory compliance requirements.
