Responsibilities
- Lead incident response for advanced persistent threats (APTs) across cloud/on-premises environments
- Develop and optimize SIEM correlation rules for real-time threat detection
- Conduct forensic investigations using tools like EnCase and FTK
- Collaborate with penetration testers to validate security controls
- Produce executive-level breach reports with actionable mitigation strategies
- Mentor junior analysts and drive security awareness initiatives
- Contribute to threat hunting programs using MITRE ATT&CK framework
Qualifications
- 5+ years in cybersecurity with 3+ years in SOC operations
- CISSP, CISM, or GIAC certification (required)
- Expertise in Azure/AWS security services and Palo Alto Networks
- Proven experience with NIST 800-53 and ISO 27001 frameworks
- Strong scripting skills (Python, PowerShell) for automation
- Active TS/SCI clearance or ability to obtain
- Experience with ransomware attack vectors and remediation
