Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems using Java and Python
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement RESTful APIs and microservices
- Optimize application performance and troubleshoot complex technical issues
- Participate in Agile ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Retrospectives) and CI/CD pipeline maintenance
- Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to security best practices
- Document technical specifications and create comprehensive test suites
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in software development with Java/Python
- Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS/GCP) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and database design
- Experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD methodologies
- Ability to work independently and solve complex problems with minimal supervision
- Excellent communication skills and collaborative mindset
- Must be available to work Saturday-Sunday shifts (7 AM - 3 PM PST)
