Apex Cyber Defense is a leading managed security services provider, and we are seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Analyst to join our elite Los Angeles team. Responsibilities
- Threat Detection & Response: Monitor security alerts and events using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) to identify and mitigate threats in real-time.
- Incident Management: Lead the investigation and remediation of cybersecurity incidents, including malware analysis and root cause determination.
- Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to ensure the integrity of our infrastructure.
- Compliance & Governance: Assist in maintaining compliance with HIPAA, PCI-DSS, and ISO 27001 standards through documentation and audits.
- Security Architecture: Recommend and implement security controls, patches, and configurations to harden endpoints and networks.
- Reporting: Generate and present detailed security reports to stakeholders and management, highlighting risk trends and mitigation strategies.
Qualifications
- Certifications: Active CISSP, CISM, CEH, or Security+ certification is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC analysis, or network security engineering.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with SIEM (Splunk, ArcSight), EDR (CrowdStrike, SentinelOne), and scripting (Python, PowerShell, or Bash).
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- Tools: Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, VPNs, firewalls, and IDS/IPS systems.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
