As a key member of our security operations center, you'll monitor, detect, and respond to cyber threats across diverse enterprise environments. Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for suspicious activity and potential threats
- Investigate security incidents using forensic tools and industry best practices
- Implement and maintain security controls including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection platforms
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and PCI-DSS standards
- Document security incidents, mitigation actions, and remediation procedures
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing of client systems
- Stay current with emerging threats and cybersecurity technologies through continuous learning
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations, SOC, or incident response
- Active Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification (or willingness to obtain within 90 days)
- Proficiency with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and network security technologies
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking and common attack vectors
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms and malware analysis
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure during security incidents
- Valid Texas driver's license and ability to travel to client sites as needed
