Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze network traffic for suspicious activities and potential security breaches.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Lead incident response efforts during security events, coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Enforce and update company security policies to ensure compliance with industry standards (NIST, ISO, PCI-DSS).
- Manage and configure firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and endpoint protection solutions.
- Provide security training and awareness to employees to foster a security-first culture.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC are highly preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in cybersecurity or network administration.
- Strong working knowledge of SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, Azure Sentinel) and threat intelligence platforms.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in high-stakes situations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting and stakeholder briefings.
