In this pivotal role, you will be the first line of defense against sophisticated cyber threats, ensuring the integrity of our clients' critical infrastructure. We are looking for a strategic thinker who can not only identify vulnerabilities but also implement robust security frameworks to protect our digital assets in the Bay Area and beyond.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security events using SIEM tools (Splunk, ArcSight) to detect and respond to potential threats in real-time.
- Conduct thorough incident investigations and coordinate with the incident response team to mitigate security breaches effectively.
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in network architecture and applications.
- Enforce security policies and compliance standards, including HIPAA, PCI-DSS, and NIST frameworks.
- Manage firewall configurations, VPN access, and secure remote access protocols.
- Develop and deliver security awareness training to employees to foster a culture of security hygiene.
- Collaborate with IT operations to ensure seamless integration of security controls into daily workflows.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Active CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC certification is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC analysis, or information security engineering.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, operating systems (Linux/Windows), and cloud environments (AWS/Azure).
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation tasks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
