The Role
As a Senior Cybersecurity Analyst on the Night Shift, you will be the first line of defense against cyber threats. You will analyze security alerts, respond to incidents, and ensure the integrity of our systems while the world sleeps. This is a high-impact role requiring a proactive mindset and a deep understanding of threat landscapes.
Responsibilities
- 24/7 Monitoring: Actively monitor Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems for potential threats and anomalies during the night shift.
- Incident Response: Lead the identification, analysis, and containment of security breaches and cyber incidents.
- Threat Hunting: Proactively search for advanced persistent threats (APTs) and malicious actors within our network.
- Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular security assessments and patch management to mitigate risks.
- Log Analysis: Analyze logs and telemetry data to detect patterns indicative of cyberattacks.
- Collaboration: Coordinate with the day-shift team and external stakeholders to resolve security issues and report findings.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC analysis, or network security.
- Certifications: CISSP, GSEC, CEH, or similar security certifications are highly preferred.
- Night Shift Availability: Must be available to work a rotating night shift schedule (e.g., 10 PM - 6 AM or 11 PM - 7 AM).
- Remote Setup: Must have a reliable high-speed internet connection and a dedicated home office setup.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with SIEM tools (Splunk, ArcSight, QRadar) and scripting languages (Python, Bash).
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience).
