Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts, logs, and events from SIEM systems (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) during assigned night shifts.
- Conduct forensic investigations and rapid incident response to mitigate active security breaches.
- Perform vulnerability assessments and recommend patches for identified weaknesses.
- Enforce compliance with internal security policies and external regulatory standards (PCI-DSS, NIST).
- Collaborate with the day shift team to ensure seamless handover of ongoing investigations and alerts.
- Document all security events, incidents, and remediation steps in the incident response database.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or Information Technology.
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Security+, CEH, or GSEC certification preferred.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in SOC operations, network security, or threat hunting.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a night shift environment.
- Deep understanding of TCP/IP, OSI model, and common network protocols.
- Proficiency with security tools such as FireEye, CrowdStrike, or Snort.
