Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts from SIEM tools to detect and respond to potential threats in real-time.
- Conduct regular penetration testing and vulnerability assessments to identify system weaknesses.
- Lead incident response efforts, coordinating with internal teams to mitigate breaches and restore normal operations.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards such as SOC 2, HIPAA, and GDPR.
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and awareness training programs for staff.
- Collaborate with software engineering teams to integrate security best practices into the development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, information security, or a related field.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or CISM are highly preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.
- Experience with cloud security platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and remotely as part of a distributed team.
