Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts from SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) to detect and respond to potential breaches in real-time.
- Conduct thorough incident investigations and lead the remediation process for security incidents.
- Perform regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and compliance documentation (GDPR, HIPAA).
- Collaborate with IT and software development teams to integrate security best practices into the SDLC.
- Manage user access controls and conduct security awareness training sessions.
- Respond to security incidents 24/7 via the on-call rotation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field (Master’s preferred).
- Active CISSP, CEH, or Security+ certification is highly required.
- Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC operations, or network security.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPN technologies.
- Proficiency with scripting languages (Python or PowerShell) for automation and forensics.
- Excellent analytical problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Clearance to work in a high-security environment (US Citizen required).
