Role Overview
As a Cybersecurity Analyst, you will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and responding to security incidents. You will work closely with IT teams to implement security measures and ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our data.
Responsibilities
- Monitor Security Operations Center (SOC) Alerts: Analyze and triage incoming security events using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to identify potential breaches.
- Incident Response: Lead or participate in the investigation and remediation of cybersecurity incidents, including malware analysis and forensic investigations.
- Network Security: Configure, maintain, and audit firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems to protect network infrastructure.
- Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular vulnerability scans and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses and coordinate timely patch management.
- Risk Assessment: Assess organizational risks and implement security controls aligned with NIST, ISO 27001, and HIPAA frameworks.
- Security Awareness: Develop and deliver security training programs to educate employees on phishing, social engineering, and best practices.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or IT operations.
- Certifications: CISSP, Security+, CEH, or CISM is highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in scripting (Python, PowerShell) and experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) is a plus.
- Tools: Strong working knowledge of SIEM, EDR, and vulnerability scanners.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
