Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events through SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to identify and respond to potential threats in real-time.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Investigate and remediate security incidents, conducting root cause analysis and post-incident reporting.
- Enforce and update security policies and procedures to ensure compliance with frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, and HIPAA.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
- Manage access control systems and perform regular audits of user permissions.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, incident response, or a related field.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field; or equivalent work experience.
- Certifications such as CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GCIH are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, operating systems, and security architectures.
- Proficiency with security tools including Firewalls, IDS/IPS, and Endpoint Protection systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
