Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security events using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to ensure zero-day threat detection.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Lead incident response efforts, coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders during security breaches.
- Develop, implement, and maintain robust security policies, procedures, and compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001).
- Collaborate with software development and IT teams to integrate security best practices into the SDLC.
- Perform regular security audits and provide detailed reporting on risk posture and remediation efforts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or CISM are highly desirable.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or information assurance.
- Strong proficiency with firewall management, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection solutions.
- Excellent knowledge of Linux, Windows, and cloud environments (AWS/Azure).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex security incidents.
