Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to detect and respond to threats in real-time.
- Conduct daily vulnerability scans, risk assessments, and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Lead incident response efforts for security breaches, ensuring minimal downtime and data loss.
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and compliance frameworks (SOC2, HIPAA).
- Perform security architecture reviews for new software deployments and infrastructure changes.
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement endpoint protection and network security solutions.
- Provide security awareness training to employees to foster a culture of cybersecurity.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, information security analysis, or a related role.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or Security+ are highly required.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPN technologies.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) for automation and threat hunting.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle high-pressure security incidents.
