Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and incidents using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar).
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Manage and configure firewalls, VPNs, and network security appliances.
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and incident response plans.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, and HIPAA.
- Perform threat hunting and root cause analysis for security breaches.
- Train and mentor junior analysts on security best practices and tool usage.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity or information security.
- Active CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH certification is required.
- Strong proficiency with SIEM platforms (Splunk, ELK Stack) and EDR solutions.
- Deep understanding of network protocols, TCP/IP, and common attack vectors.
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting to executive stakeholders.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle high-stakes incident response scenarios.
