Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) to detect and respond to intrusions in real-time.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses and security gaps.
- Manage and configure firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection solutions to secure network infrastructure.
- Investigate security breaches and develop detailed incident response plans to minimize downtime and data loss.
- Ensure strict compliance with industry standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, and HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to patch vulnerabilities and implement secure coding practices.
- Produce monthly security reports and briefings for executive leadership.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC analysis, or network security engineering.
- Certifications preferred: CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and security architectures.
- Experience with scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) for automation and forensics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
