Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) to detect and respond to potential threats
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Develop and implement incident response plans for security breaches and cyber attacks
- Collaborate with IT teams to enforce security policies and regulatory compliance (GDPR, HIPAA, NIST)
- Generate comprehensive security reports for executive stakeholders and recommend mitigation strategies
- Stay current with emerging threats and threat intelligence to proactively defend against attacks
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations, threat detection, or incident response
- Professional certifications (CISSP, CompTIA Security+, CEH) preferred
- Proficiency in network security tools (Firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs) and operating systems
- Strong analytical skills with experience in log analysis and threat hunting
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills for technical documentation and team collaboration
- Ability to work under pressure during security incidents and maintain detailed documentation
