Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) to detect and respond to threats in real-time.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security audits to identify system weaknesses.
- Develop and maintain incident response plans and playbooks.
- Enforce security policies and compliance standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, HIPAA).
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement secure coding practices and infrastructure hardening.
- Provide security training and awareness to employees across the organization.
- Prepare detailed reports for executive leadership on security posture and incident analysis.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or information security.
- Certifications required: CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC.
- Deep knowledge of TCP/IP, OSI model, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPN technologies.
- Experience with Linux and Windows server environments and scripting (Python/Bash).
- Strong understanding of network protocols and common attack vectors.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for stakeholder reporting.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a remote or hybrid work environment.
