Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts and events from SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to detect and respond to potential breaches in real-time.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in our network architecture.
- Manage and troubleshoot firewall rules, VPN configurations, and access control lists to ensure secure network operations.
- Lead incident response efforts, including root cause analysis, containment strategies, and post-incident reporting.
- Enforce security policies and compliance requirements (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, HIPAA) across the organization.
- Collaborate with IT teams to integrate security best practices into software development and system administration.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Active CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GCIH certification is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC analysis, or network security engineering.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and cloud environments (AWS/Azure).
- Proficiency with security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection solutions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
