Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts in SIEM environments (Splunk, QRadar) to identify and mitigate threats in real-time.
- Conduct proactive threat hunting and vulnerability assessments to strengthen our security posture.
- Lead incident response efforts, coordinating with internal teams to contain and remediate security breaches.
- Ensure strict compliance with regulatory standards including HIPAA, PCI-DSS, and NIST frameworks.
- Design and implement robust security controls, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive security documentation and incident response playbooks.
- Collaborate with engineering and development teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 4-6 years of progressive experience in cybersecurity, network security, or SOC analysis.
- Active CISSP, CISM, CEH, or Security+ certification is highly preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Python or Bash scripting for security automation.
- Deep understanding of network protocols, encryption, and cloud security architectures (AWS/Azure).
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data logs and produce actionable insights.
