Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and incidents using SIEM tools (Splunk, Sentinel, or QRadar).
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Enforce security policies and standards across the organization's network and endpoints.
- Perform log analysis to detect anomalous behavior and potential threats.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to remediate security vulnerabilities and improve system architecture.
- Prepare and present detailed security reports to stakeholders and management.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards such as SOC 2, HIPAA, and GDPR.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of professional experience in a cybersecurity or SOC environment.
- Active certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPNs.
- Proficiency with incident response methodologies and forensic analysis.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting and training.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
