Responsibilities
- Design and implement advanced security controls including SIEM tuning, EDR deployment, and zero-trust architecture
- Lead incident response for high-severity breaches, coordinating with legal, IT, and executive teams
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing across hybrid cloud environments
- Develop security awareness training programs for 500+ enterprise employees
- Manage security compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST CSF, SOC 2)
- Collaborate on threat intelligence analysis using MITRE ATT&CK framework
- Document security procedures and create executive-level threat reports
Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience with 2+ years in incident response
- CISSP, CEH, or GIAC certification required (CISM preferred)
- Expertise in AWS/Azure security services and container security (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Proficient in SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and EDR solutions (CrowdStrike, SentinelOne)
- Strong knowledge of network security protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, IDS/IPS)
- Experience with cloud-native security tools (GuardDuty, Security Hub, Sentinel)
- Ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Active NYS cybersecurity clearance or ability to obtain within 30 days
