Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to identify and mitigate potential threats in real-time.
- Conduct comprehensive vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to proactively identify system weaknesses.
- Lead and coordinate incident response efforts during security breaches, ensuring minimal impact and rapid recovery.
- Develop, implement, and maintain security policies, procedures, and compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
- Collaborate with engineering and development teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
- Perform regular security audits and risk assessments to ensure ongoing compliance with industry standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, including experience in a SOC or GRC role.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC are required.
- Strong proficiency with SIEM platforms, endpoint detection systems, and firewalls.
- Experience with cloud security architectures (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and container security.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
