Responsibilities
- Monitor network traffic and security alerts using SIEM tools to detect potential threats
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing for client systems
- Respond to security incidents with timely containment and remediation procedures
- Develop and maintain security documentation, including policies and playbooks
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Stay current with emerging threats and recommend mitigation strategies
- Assist with compliance audits for GDPR, HIPAA, and NIST frameworks
Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar)
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification preferred
- Proficiency in network security, firewalls, and endpoint protection platforms
- Experience with incident response and malware analysis techniques
- Strong knowledge of cloud security (AWS/Azure) and zero-trust architectures
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a hybrid environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder reporting
- Active TS/SCI clearance or ability to obtain within 30 days
