Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for suspicious activity
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Develop and implement incident response plans for security breaches
- Analyze security logs to identify trends and potential threats
- Collaborate with IT teams to maintain security compliance frameworks
- Create detailed security documentation and incident reports
- Stay current on emerging cyber threats and mitigation strategies
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2+ years of experience in network security or incident response
- CompTIA Security+ or CEH certification preferred
- Proficiency with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and vulnerability scanners
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in part-time role
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to travel to Phoenix office bi-weekly
