Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) to detect and respond to potential threats in real-time.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify security gaps in network infrastructure and applications.
- Lead incident response investigations, including forensics, root cause analysis, and post-incident reporting.
- Manage Identity and Access Management (IAM) processes, ensuring least privilege access and compliance with security policies.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to design and implement secure network architectures and firewalls.
- Stay abreast of the latest cybersecurity trends, threat intelligence, and regulatory compliance requirements (NIST, HIPAA, GDPR).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or a related role.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, CISM, or Security+ are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, VPNs, and IDS/IPS technologies.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) for automation and security tasks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
