Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Develop incident response plans and conduct tabletop exercises
- Implement firewall rules and access control policies
- Generate comprehensive security incident reports
- Stay current on emerging threats and mitigation techniques
- Collaborate with IT teams on security architecture improvements
Qualifications
- 3+ years in cybersecurity with hands-on incident response experience
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification (or equivalent)
- Proficiency in network security tools (Wireshark, Nmap)
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Active Ohio security clearance or willingness to obtain
