Responsibilities
- Monitor and Analyze: Continuously monitor network traffic and security systems using SIEM tools to detect anomalies and potential threats.
- Incident Response: Lead the investigation and resolution of security breaches, ensuring minimal downtime and data loss.
- Risk Management: Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to industry standards such as HIPAA, PCI-DSS, and ISO 27001.
- Threat Intelligence: Analyze global threat landscapes to proactively update defense strategies.
- Training: Mentor junior staff and conduct security awareness training for internal stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience: 3-5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or a related IT role.
- Certifications: Active CISSP, CEH, or Security+ certification is highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with SIEM (Splunk, QRadar), Firewalls (Fortinet, Palo Alto), and Endpoint Protection.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills.
